Hall Technologies is proud to be hosting the next AVIXA Women’s Council Dallas Group in our Experience Center for their upcoming event on Thursday, September 15th. The AVIXA Women’s Council is paving the way for more women to enter the industry with their Rosie Riveters initiative. In conjunction with the Rosie the Riveters non-profit organization, the Council groups are working together to fund free STEM programming to middle-school-aged girls. Through this program, they’re making STEM education accessible and providing a place to learn about Pro AV as a possible career path.
Rosie Riveters provides a fun space for girls from ages 4-14 to imagine, create, and play while developing their skills in STEM. The AVIXA Women’s Council believes that by supporting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs like the Rosie Riveters non-profit organization, we can intervene early in girls’ education to bring awareness to STEM careers such as those we occupy in ProAV. By sparking an interest in our industry during their formative years of education, girls can pursue various schooling and training paths that would lead them to a career in AV, which would have a direct positive impact on gender equity in ProAV and technology.
As part of their mission to give back to the community and support Rosie Riveters, the Dallas AWC Group is holding a kit making rally at Hall Technologies on 9/15/22 from 3-6PM to help build binary coding kits for a local school. All are welcome to attend. If you are in DFW, come join the AVIXA Women’s Council, and support the Rosie Riveters initiative. Come learn more about Rosie Riveters, network, and check out our new HQ. We can’t wait to host you!
