The USB23H-4 is a 4 port-USB 3.0 Hub with the unique capability to up-convert USB 1.1/2.0 data to USB 3.0 upstream. The product makes it possible to use extension methods that only support USB 3.0 or higher (such as the Hall Research USB 3.0 Javelin Plenum active optical cables (AOC) to support a combination of legacy USB 2.0 and new USB 3.0/3.1 devices.
The hub provides 3 USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 ports, and one USB 2.0/1.1 port. All upstream communications with the Host uses USB 3.0 standard and physical layer allowing the use of active optical cables. A USB 3.0 A-A cable is provided to connect the Hub to the Host (or device end of the AOC cable). The package also includes a universal power supply and a pair of mounting brackets for users that would like to surface mount the device.
The hub is plug-and-play and no software drivers are necessary.
